Overview

Pep Talk Generator is a simple motivational app. We take your privacy seriously, and the short version is this: we do not require an account, and we do not collect, store, or share personal information that identifies you. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous crash diagnostics, described below, which help us fix bugs.

The App

The Pep Talk Generator Android app:

• Does not require an account or login.
• Does not ask you for, or collect, any personal information (name, email, contacts, etc.).
• Stores your favorites, blocked talks, and style preferences only on your own device using Android's local database (Room / SQLite). This data never leaves your phone.
• Does not contain any advertising SDKs and does not show ads.
• Does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or any other sensitive device resource.

Optional daily notification reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content is sent to or stored on any server.

Crash Reporting

To help us find and fix crashes, the app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, Crashlytics sends Google a diagnostic report so we can reproduce and resolve the problem. These reports contain technical information such as the type of crash, a stack trace, the device model, operating-system version, and app version, along with a randomly generated installation identifier. They do not contain your name, email, the pep talks you generate or save, or the contents of your local data.

Crashlytics is provided by Google; its handling of this data is governed by Google's Firebase privacy terms. This is the only feature in the app that sends any information off your device.

This Website

The peptalkgenerator.app website:

• Does not use cookies.
• Does not use any analytics or tracking scripts.
• Does not collect any information about visitors.
• Loads the QR code library (qrcode.js) from a CDN solely to render the app download QR code client-side — no data about you is sent to the CDN provider.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect any data, there is no data collected from children either.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Given the nature of the app, significant changes are unlikely.
